Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a great time ringing in the new year! I’m so excited for 2017. I just have a great feeling about this year, so I decided to share with you my goals/resolutions for this year. I normally never achieve/keep up with my New Years resolutions (for the past few years I didn’t even set any) but I thought if I shared them with people they can hold me accountable. So here it goes.
1. Put more of my trust in God’s plan and his timing
I struggle with this during 2016, but one thing 2016 taught me is that God’s timing may not be your timing but his timing is perfect.
2. Spend more time with God
I don’t mean just going to church every Sunday. I mean praying more and reading the Bible everyday. I was very lax when it came to reading the Bible in 2016 and I’m hoping to change that.
3. Sleep more/Have a regular sleep pattern
I am such a nocturnal animal, because of this (and my bouts of insomnia) my sleeping pattern is all out of whack. I need to work on this because some days I’m utterly useless during the day.
4. Be more social
Over the past few years I developed Social Anxiety. These past few months I’ve been trying to be more social and I’m hoping to continue that this year.
5. Eat regularly/healthy
I’m going to have to set alarms/reminders to remind me to eat because I get so caught up in things that the next time I look up it’s hours later and I missed a meal.
This is on my list not because I want to loose weight but because I want to be fit and healthy.
7. Design more
Fashion design is my passion but 2016 wasn’t a good year in terms of my designing. I lacked inspiration and drive. I’m hoping this year will be different.
8. Start my fashion business
This is a dream of mine and this year I want to take steps in making it a reality.
9. Be tidier
I’m not very messy but I could be better at putting things away.
10. Be more organized
I’m all about planning but sometimes organizing my plans gets the better of me. This year I want to work on that.
11. Drink more water
As you read earlier, if I’m missing meals you can bet I’m not drinking enough water. I’m really hoping there is app that can help me. Leave me suggestions in the comments below.
12. Go outside more
I have become that person who really loves to be indoors so this is something I really need to do.
*breathes a sigh of relief* I did it!! Hopefully I’ll keep up/achieve these goals and resolutions. Let me know what some of your new year goal/resolutions are in the comments below.
